We can assist people who are entering initial military service by providing behavioral health assessments related to medical inprocessing requirements set by the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). Our assessments are often used to help applicants apply for medical waivers related to behavioral health. We perform assessments for a variety of situations, to include but not limited to:

Confirming a diagnosis or confirming that no criteria is met for a diagnosis

Reviewing treatment records and provided clinical opinions for ongoing treatment needs
Reviewing and summarizing historical behavioral health information and providing a clinical opinion regarding how past behavioral health information applies to current behavioral health functioning.

We work directly with the person applying to join the military as well as their recruiter to make sure that the assessment we perform and write matches the specific needs of the person. We schedule one-hour intake sessions with additional interview time as needed and aim to have the assessment written and sent to the person joining the military as well as the recruiter within a week.

When we perform an assessment and we do NOT have a confirmed diagnosis, it is not possible to bill insurance plans for the interview/intake time we have with the client. This is why assessments are generally out-of-pocket services. Fees are as follows:
$80 for a one-hour intake session.
$70 for each additional sessions with the person.
$75 for each hour of writing the assessment, which is broken into 15-minute increments.
